Julianne Holland is a prolific creator moving across a multitude of mediums and styles in her private practice but it is her dramatic, vibrant, and evocative oil paintings that she is most widely celebrated for.

 

With works in both public and private collections, Julianne has exhibited her oil paintings throughout Australia. She studied for a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Federation University and has since dedicated her life to expanding her knowledge, technical aptitude, and spiritual capacity in service to her art.

Jules explored this passion through years of working as a Park Ranger.  From conservation in the uppermost remote tip of Australia to sand islands, alongside anti-poaching rangers in South Africa and rebuilding the Kokoda Trail in PNG. Her vision for her art has been profoundly influenced by her connection to the natural world as a free-range child loose in the forests of Central Victoria and then later in life as a Park Ranger and Wildland Firefighter.

Her recent work has developed into an exploration of the power, vulnerability, and volatility of the feminine and how it is mirrored within the natural world. The chaos and balance, the violence and fragility, the death and rebirth.
