Welcome to the School Holiday Art Club with the Aphrodite Art School Team!
 
Our school holiday workshops offer children and teens the chance to slow down, immerse themselves in creativity and spend time in a beautiful studio environment.
 
For the first time, we are offering two FULL DAY camps, the first for kids 5-12 years old on Wed 1st July, and the second for pre-/teens (ages 9-17) on Thurs 2nd July.
 
Both are FULL DAY art camps from 9am-3pm held at our loft studio at East Hall.  Please ensure you read the full description for both below. 
 
Enchanted Garden Art Camp ✨🌻🌼🐞🐛🧚‍♀️🌱
Date: Wednesday 1st July
Time: 9am-3pm
Ages: 5 - 12 years
Step through the garden gate and into a world of colour, creativity and imagination!
Join us for a magical day of art as we explore blooming flowers, rainbow pathways, hidden creatures and whimsical garden wonders. Throughout the day, young artists will create a collection of enchanting artworks inspired by the beauty and magic of imaginary gardens.
 
Using a variety of exciting art materials and techniques, children will paint, build, sculpt and create their own unique garden-themed masterpieces while developing artistic skills, confidence and creative thinking.
 
Designed for children aged 5-12, this full-day workshop offers a fun and welcoming environment where imaginations can blossom. Whether your child dreams of fairy gardens, colourful creatures, magical flowers or secret hideaways, they'll be encouraged to bring their own ideas to life through art.
 
We structure the day around three workshops, with bonus break-out sessions. 
 
Workshop 1: Enchanted Landscape
Create your own magical garden scene using colourful collage materials. Design winding pathways, rainbow skies, blooming flowers and secret garden surprises.
Skills: Creativity, composition, colour and collage techniques.
 
Workshop 2: Magical Flowers & Garden Insects
Bring your garden to life by creating beautiful 3D flowers and magical garden insects that pop right off the page.
Skills: Construction, layering, fine motor skills and creative design.
 
Workshop 3: Enchanted Clay Creature
Sculpt a magical garden friend from clay. Will it be a fairy dragon, a flower sprite, a whimsical snail or a creature of your own invention?
Skills: Clay sculpting, texture, character design and imagination
 
Each child will leave with their own magical mixed-media garden landscape to proudly display at home, a flower for a special person, and their very own clay enchanted garden creatures.

Print Lab: Design, Print & Create ✍🏽👕✨🛍️
Date: Thursday 2nd July 
Time: 9am-3pm
Ages: 9-17
Discover the exciting world of printmaking in this hands-on creative workshop designed for young artists.
 
Throughout the day, participants will explore a range of accessible printmaking techniques to create their own original designs and transform them into a collection of unique printed artworks. Working with specialist printing materials, students will experiment with pattern, texture, colour and composition while learning how artists use printmaking to create repeatable designs and wearable art.
 
The highlight of the day is printing onto a tote bag or a BYO t-shirt, allowing students to take home a personalised piece they can wear and enjoy long after the workshop has finished.
 
Suitable for beginners and experienced young artists alike, this workshop encourages creativity, experimentation and artistic confidence in a fun and supportive studio environment.

Workshop 1: Stamp It!
Experiment with ready-made stamps before designing and creating your own unique stamp. Use it to decorate art cards, create patterns, or design your very own artist's signature mark.
Skills: Printmaking, design, pattern-making and creative thinking.
 
Workshop 2: Monoprint Magic
Discover how everyday materials can be transformed into beautiful one-of-a-kind prints. Experiment with texture, colour and layering to create a collection of unique artworks.
Skills: Printmaking techniques, texture exploration, colour mixing and artistic experimentation.
 
Workshop 3: Wearable Art Studio
Put your new printmaking skills into action by creating your own wearable artwork. Print your designs onto a BYO t-shirt or tote bag and take home a truly original creation.
Skills: Composition, textile printing, creative problem-solving and personal expression.
 
Each child/teen will leave with their own collection of art prints to proudly display at home, cards to gift, and a unique one-of-a-kind t-shirt or tote bag.

What's supplied: All art supplies and tote bags
Please bring:
• Packed lunch
• Water bottle
• Plain cotton t-shirt (optional). Tote bags will be available for students who do not bring a t-shirt.
