A 4-week program, to learn the basics of drawing with the brilliant and eccentric, professional artist Robert Connell.
Over the four weeks Rob will help you transform your drawing skills and create a final piece of art that showcases the multiple techniques learnt all whilst having fun in a relaxed environment.
Rob will spend time with each student as they learn to ground their own work within the picture plane, experiment with light and shadows and replicate how we see things without our brain playing tricks on us! The first 3 sessions will focus on drawing techniques with objects brought from home (please bring a few different objects that you find interesting!) and the final session will be an accumulation of these skills into your final piece.
Stay tuned for Rob's next program, designed to follow on from this initial workshop the 'Learn to Draw Figures' series where you will delve a little deeper into the fundamentals of drawing. In this course, we willadopt techniques that help us interpret shapes, shading, and perspective to create the perception of space within the picture plane using a live model.
